We would like more pictures throughout our site. Although for now, we hope you enjoy our farm's photo gallery!

Here are a few photos of our farm, our chickens, and our family!  We hope you will enjoy them!

After processsing day, I will be sure to add more pictures of our chicken processing operation.  Thanks for stopping by!

This the split goat and pig pasture. They share it, but separately.

Here is the interior of our big barn.

Josey (the horse) is gone now.  She belonged to the previous owners.  At this time, we are "horse-less"! LOL

This the covered arena behind the barn. Right now, it is a piggy condo.
Goatville

This is the small barn and the goat yard.  Right now, our "small barn" houses our chicken brooders (home for baby chicks before they are ready to pasture), our goat house and goat yard, and on the other side of the barn is the chicken coop (where the hens sleep at night).

Some of our laying hens!

We have Barred Rocks, Rhode Island Reds, Black Stars, two Silkies, and a Blue Andalusian rooster.  Right now, we have 13 laying hens and 25 more growing for laying next season.

Here is our little Bantam Silkie Hen...She is a gem!
Here is her husband! LOL

Of course chickens do not pick life mates and roosters are far from monogamous, but this is the closest I have seen with these two.  They have been together since hatching!

Chickens are naturally curious...

When I come out, they are curious to see if I have any treats for them.  THey love stale bread, leftover veggies, old fruit, watermelon rinds, and popcorn!

Chicken Spa

This is where our hens spend a lot of their time in the warmest hours of the day.  It gets a wonderful breeze!

You thought that I was kidding...

It really is the Hen Spa...they even have their own wading pool!

Future Pope Pastures' Layers

We have 25 layers waiting a few more days until they are ready to be pastured.

This hen will lay beautiful colored eggs!
With just a few days left, they enjoy the solitude of the brooder house.

Soon, these layers and meat birds will be put in the pastured in their covered pen to enjoy their full of grass and grasshoppers.

These are the true gems of Pope Pastures...

Our three beautiful children!
