Pope Pastures Farm Pork Reservations are NOW AVAILABLE!
Our passion for good meat has led us to purchase our first group of pigs for raising and processing. We are excited and optimistic about the wonderful taste of pastured pork.

Did you know?
If factory pork producers add nothing to the pork after the hog is killed, then they can legally say it is all natural with no added ingredients or preservatives! They can make this claim regardless of the hormones and steroids they’ve fed their animals or the inhumane way they’ve been treated prior to their slaughter! |

How We Raise Our Pork at Pope Pastures
We believe it is both unhealthy and inhumane to keep a pig confined to a pen. Our hogs are to be raised in large pastures where they can eat a variety of vegetation, exercise to their heart's content, and socialize with other hogs and people on the farm. Because they live on open pastures, our farm will not have that pig smell that results from the unsanitary conditions of confinement. They are being fed no hormones, steroids, antibiotics, growth stimulants or chemicals of any kind. The result is a pure product that is free from drug residue. |

What About Taste?
Mass produced, factory farmed pork has little or no flavor. Factory pork and factory chicken taste so much alike, there is no wonder they call it "the other white meat". Although, once you taste pastured pork, you will know what pork REALLY tastes like. It is juicy and delicious! We are looking forward to pit cooking and barbequed pork! Yummy! |
